Great article. I'm on exactly that wavelength. I did a couple of postings on that topic: http://www.gordonpearson.co.uk/19/what-good-are-stock-markets/#.VDWm__10ycw and, http://www.gordonpearson.co.uk/11/what-will-replace-the-public-company/#.VDWnO_10ycw I used to get a bit down about it, especially as it was destroying all the good things about management. But now there's such a lot of people on song, and including re legal duty of directors not being shareholder value, that I feel change is inevitable.
